1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences and understand how you use it. We also use localStorage, a similar browser storage mechanism, to remember your cookie consent choice and, when you book with us, to keep your details as you fill them in and to add the booking to an account you create within a day. The postcodes you enter on our homepage or in the price guide wait there too, until you next open our quote page or booking form, which removes them. It fills them in only if you open it within a minute.

If you accept, Microsoft Clarity records how you use our pages: where you click, how far you scroll and where you move the mouse, so we can see where a page is hard to use. What you type into a form is masked in your browser before a recording is sent, and so are the confirmations that show your details back to you. Clarity never runs on delivery tracking or in your customer account. Microsoft can also set cookies on its own clarity.ms domain, which Clarity uses to recognise a browser across the sites that run it. Microsoft may also use what Clarity collects for its own purposes, including advertising, as explained in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
3. How to Manage Cookies
When you first visit our site, a consent banner lets you accept or reject analytics, advertising and session-recording cookies. You can change your mind at any time using the button below — it switches the signals off straight away and brings the banner back so you can choose again.
If you reject, we set none of the cookies in the table above apart from the one recording that choice — and Google's and Microsoft's tags are never loaded at all, so nothing about your visit is sent to Google Analytics, Google Ads or Microsoft Clarity. We still count page views in aggregate using our own analytics, which uses no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and cannot recognise you on a return visit.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Note that blocking all cookies may affect how some websites function.
